The first annual gathering of climbers within the project “Experience Trust” was held on May 2-4, 2016.  Location – cliffs near the village Butuceni, commune Trebujeni of Orhei district of Moldova.
The purpose of the gathering: to promote climbing as a sport, and exchange of experience in it
Objectives:
– Letting participants from different regions of the right and left banks of the Dniester River to know each other better:
– Strengthening relations and ties between the project participants from different regions of the right and left banks of the Dniester River;
– Showing progress in climbing after the winter season;
– Conducting quality drills on the natural terrain;
– Identification of successfully progressing athletes;
– Identification of ways of further development of rock climbing enthusiasts.
The gathering was attended by 71 people with ages from 12 to 30 years.  They were representing six climbing centers (city Chisinau, city Tiraspol, city Bender, city Dubasari, village Varnita from Anenii Noi district, city Criuleni represented by team from village Onitcani).  These centers were created within the project “Experience Trust”.  The project itself has received financial support from the European Union and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) through the program “Support for confidence-building measures.”  The overall objective of the program – support the confidence-building measures between the two banks of the Dniester River.
