Leonid brings to our organization an impressive mix of professional, academic and outdoor experience. With a PhD in Economics and a Master’s from the states, Leonid ensures our programs have a credible educational component. Additionally, he has over 10 years experience building public/private partnerships through entrepreneurship development and international collaborations with such entities as World Bank and the Royal Dutch Embassy. Leonid’s outdoor involvement spans 30 years and ranges from glider flying to sailing off the western coast of USA to month-long Siberian expeditions. As our local specialist, Leonid knows every corner of Moldova like the back of his hand, he’s “been there, done that.”

“My first priority has always been safety. Beyond that, I’ll help you realize your potential while exploring the natural beauty of Moldova!”

David Jesse

David is good at finding solutions with limited time, resources and information. With a professional background in management and five years living abroad, David knows how to lead cross-cultural teams. In addition to directing a student exchange program and serving on various non-profit boards, David has years of formal teaching experience, from flight instructing to university lecturing.

Vladislav Oleatovschi

Vlad developed his team building skills while a volunteer in Asia for almost one year. The theme of that program was “be the change you want to see in the world”, which Vlad has been respecting ever since. As a trained lawyer, he exercises his other character strengths: critical thinking, creativity, facilitating open dialogues and managing ambiguity. In addition to those aspects, we’ve included Vlad on our team because he has a lot of experience working with children and youth, and because nobody can put up a tent blindfolded faster than him!

Rodica Negura

Rodica would be an important asset to our team just due to her various trainings and training experience, attentive eye and analytical thinking. On top of that she is bringing her background in biology science, experience as ecological inspector and most of all in managing NGO and coordinating various projects of different scale.

In addition to his academic background as a historian and lots of years teaching at school, Serghei received impressive number of international trainings in various fields that prepared him as a trainer. This allows him to be a demanded trainer both within programs for adults and youth.

For us Serghei is also precious due to his outdoor experience and training in outdoor experiential programs.

Iunona Lungul

Iunona is one of our most important supporters, both in terms of ideological, as well as in financial sense. She is personally in harmony with the subject and feels growing need for it among business people. Her ideas and personal contributions are among the foundation stones of this entire project.

Rostislav Smigliuc

With his mind in the office and his heart outdoors, Rostislav helps our organization bridge the technology gap. As a professional computer engineer and project director for national information networks, Rostislav keeps our office organized and our website operational. In addition to his experience as a trainer in business strategy and leadership, Rostislav has been organizing outdoor activities from the U.S. to Uzbekistan for over 20 years.

Vitalie Lavric

In his spare time Vitalie is a coach of a Greek-Roman wrestling club for teenagers and children. In summer time he often brings his pupils to trainings in outdoors. This experience brought him to our Center. He contributes a lot to projects formulation and logistical preparation of summer camps, as well as in conducting training programs with various clients.

He is a passionate promoter of outdoor education in Moldova, with a special emphasis on new generation.

Viorel Dilion

Even before obtaining university degree in finance and working experience in this field, Viorel showed interest in volunteering for various programs for youth and children, including ones run by Outdoor Leadership Center.

We highly appreciate his general intelligence, educated way of dealing with clients and respect for nature.

Olga Lisenco

In addition to strong background of teaching at school, running a regional Center of Creativity for Youth, running community projects and an NGO, Olga received a number of international trainings in various fields. This allows her to be often involved in programs for adults and youth.

Elena Zandelova

Elena is the youngest member of our team and is a student in Finance. She contributes her experience in various projects related to ecology, involvement of youth in social activities, as a presenter of international festivals.

Her laborious character and passion for athletics makes her and important part of our team.

.Mariana Durlescu

Mariana has hiked virtually every trail, skied every mountain and rafted every river from Italy to Israel. With such an active lifestyle, she is a leader by example. Formally educated as a professional coach, Mariana helps her clients find a balance of healthy challenges. She also shares a strong passion for environmental awareness, so don’t be surprised when she leaves the trail in better condition than she found it.

Jason “Rok” Teasley

RoK’s impressive experience in outdoor leadership, experiential education, team building, and adventure programming is one of our greatest assets. Having worked for organizations such as YMCA and Boy Scouts of America, he has also facilitated team building sessions for AmeriCorps, Peace Corps, Service for Peace, at-risk youth and high-profile corporate clients. In his spare time, RoK is finishing his “book of Life”, a comprehensive manual for facilitating outdoor trainings.

Greg Janes

Greg contributes both business and team building experience to our organization. Back in the states, he owned a web marketing business; now in Moldova, he is teaching entrepreneurship. Greg was also one of the co-creators of an original ToT (training of trainers) curriculum for summer camp operators which was unique in that it incorporated many experiential education techniques.
